We are looking for a strong Collections Specialist with experience in trucking/logistics who can confidently manage receivables, enforce payments, and protect company cash flow.
This role focuses on aging invoices, collections from c/b loads, fuel and EFS control, and legal documentation support. The right candidate is assertive, detail-oriented, and not afraid of difficult conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage aging invoices and actively resolve payment delays.
Work with c/b loads to recover funds owed to the company.
Communicate directly with brokers, partners, and counterparties - including tough, uncomfortable conversations when required.
Monitor, analyze, and control fuel and EFS reports to ensure full accuracy.
Issue and manage EFS codes and administer fuel cards.
Process and control final statement charges, ensuring correctness and justification.
File, track, and control bonds and collection claims.
Prepare, organize, and provide proper documentation for lawsuits and legal claims.
Maintain strict financial records and ensure transparency across all related operations.
Identify risks, discrepancies, and weak points in payment and collection processes - and close them.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting, collections, or financial control, preferably in trucking or logistics.
Strong understanding of fuel, EFS, settlements, and carrier/broker workflows.
Hard character - confident, assertive, and not afraid of pressure or confrontation.
Excellent communication skills: able to push for payment professionally but firmly.
High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
Ability to work independently and make decisions within financial authority.
English - confident working level (written and spoken).
