Senior Lawyer (Crypto project)

About Us

We are excited to announce the launch of our innovative crypto startup, officially registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in the Czech Republic. Our mission is to bridge the gap between cryptocurrency and fiat for business clients by providing seamless payment solutions.
Through our services, clients can receive payments in crypto (including invoices) while ensuring smooth fiat settlements directly into their accounts.
We are currently seeking a Lawyer with experience in crypto projects to join our team and support our mission.
Key Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance and Licensing

• Adapt company policies and procedures to secure a CASP license in compliance with MiCA and DORA regulations.
• Prepare and manage all required documentation for CASP license applications.
• Collaborate with regulators and competent authorities throughout the licensing process.

2. Legislation Analysis and Implementation

• Analyze legislative frameworks, particularly EU regulations related to cryptocurrency services.
• Monitor updates to relevant legislation (e.g., MiCA, DORA, AMLD 5/6, KYC/AML, Travel Rule) and ensure compliance.

3. Legal Support for Business

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Provide legal support to ensure compliance across company operations and projects.

4. AML/KYC Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies to meet AML and KYC requirements.

Candidate Requirements

1. Education

• Bachelor’s degree in law (minimum requirement).

2. Experience

• Proven legal experience in cryptocurrency projects, either in-house or in consulting roles.
• Experience in developing and implementing policies for VASP/CASP or similar licensing processes.
• Prior legal experience in the Czech Republic is a strong advantage.

3. Knowledge

• Deep understanding of international cryptocurrency and financial services regulations (e.g., AML/KYC, MiCA, DORA, Travel Rule, GDPR).
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency and blockchain operations.

4. Skills

• Expertise in preparing and structuring regulatory documentation.
• Strong legislative analysis skills and the ability to deliver actionable legal advice in a business context.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher); knowledge of Czech is a plus.
