On behalf of our client—a global consultancy specializing in payment solutions, financial licensing, and regulatory advisory—we are hiring for the Team Lead - Payments Department.
Our client supports businesses in high-risk sectors such as crypto exchanges, digital payment platforms, and e-commerce, helping them open accounts, build strong banking relationships, and optimize payment operations worldwide.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead - Payments Department to manage a remote, high-performing team of Payment Managers across multiple regions. In this role, you will oversee client payment flows, coordinate account openings, and maintain strong relationships with banks, EMIs, PSPs, and alternative payment providers. You will ensure the smooth execution of all projects while supporting your team in handling 20–30 account openings per month and consistently achieving a high approval success rate. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and superior client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a remote team of Payment Managers across Asia and Europe.
- Motivate and develop team members, set KPIs, and conduct weekly/monthly meetings to track progress and performance.
- Understand clients' business models and payment requirements to optimize workflows.
- Identify payment needs (B2B, C2B, PSP, or APM accounts) and assign team members to handle applications on clients' behalf.
- Ensure the team follows up diligently on applications, maintaining a high approval success rate.
- Monitor monthly workload (~20–30 account openings) and allocate resources efficiently.
- Use Monday.com CRM to manage account opening workflows, track tasks, and report progress.
- Hire, train, and onboard new team members.
- Develop partnerships with new banks and payment institutions; establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Assign team members to research new EMIs and payment providers, verify legitimacy, and ensure proper licensing.
- For key clients, lead annual audits, review business operations, website, and presentation to suggest improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in payments, fintech, PSPs, EMIs, or related consulting roles.
- Proven experience managing remote teams, motivating staff, and driving performance.
- Solid understanding of payment types, flows, and financial institutions (B2B, C2B, PSP, APM).
- Familiarity with account opening processes for banks, EMIs, and payment providers. Experience using CRM systems (Monday.com preferred) to track workflow and team performance.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills; able to explain complex payment solutions clearly.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- English proficiency (B2+); additional languagesa plus.
