The Senior Accountant ensures accurate, compliant, and standardized financial accounting across the N-iX Group entities. This role is pivotal in maintaining local accounting policies and the Chart of Accounts aligned with local GAAPs and Group standards, for ensuring all financial information is accurately and completely recorded, maintaining compliance with both local and international accounting standards. This includes managing the month-end closing process, overseeing the work of outsourced accountants, and performing thorough reconciliations to ensure accuracy. The position drives automation and efficiency in accounting operations, supports Group Reporting and Tax in policy implementation and audits, and is key to the transformation and alignment of accounting processes across the Group.
Responsibilities:
1. Execution and control:
- Manage primary bookkeeping for N-iX Group in line with local GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Maintain local accounting policies and the Chart of Accounts in line with Group requirements.
- Lead the month-end closing process;
- Oversee and review the preparation of the local financial statements and statutory reports (VAT, CIT, etc.).
2.Regulatory Compliance & Standardization:
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting and reporting policies..
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and proactively implement changes.
3.Financial Reconciliations:
- Perform and review general ledger accounts reconciliation, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
4.Review of Outsourced Accountants' Work:
- Review outsourced accountants' work for consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and policy compliance.
- Drive automation and process improvements in financial operations.
5.Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar financial role, ideally within an international group structure.
- Upper-intermediate level of English
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; advanced certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Accounting software ( Microsoft D365 Business Central will be a plus)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex financial processes independently.
